Update

Every few hours, the panel checks on its own whether a new version is out. When one is, a “New version” (Nova versão) notice shows up at the bottom of the menu (only for people who administer the panel).

Update the panel

1. Click the New version notice and see what changed.
2. Click Update now (Atualizar agora).
3. The panel goes offline for about 1 minute and comes back on its own in the new version.

During the switch, apps, databases and sites stay online: they run on Docker, independent of the panel.

Safe by default

The panel only switches versions after downloading the new image. If the download fails (server internet, registry down), nothing changes and the screen tells you the update was not applied.

Update the agents

Settings → Depanel version (Configurações → Versão do Depanel) lists the machines with an outdated agent. Use Update all (Atualizar todos) or update them one by one, on the machine’s page.

From the command line

Running the installer again also updates, keeping your data and configuration:

If something goes wrong

On the server, docker logs depanel-atualizador shows what the updater did. The previous version is still recorded in /opt/depanel/.env (DEPANEL_IMAGEM) and the daily database backup is in /opt/depanel/backups.
