Pull request previews
With previews turned on for a service that comes from Git:
- each pull request opened in the repository becomes a temporary service (“Site · PR #12”);
- it uses the PR’s branch and the main service’s variables;
- it gets the address
pr-12.<domínio base>, with HTTPS; - a new commit on the PR redeploys the preview;
- when the PR is closed, the preview is taken down and deleted.
Set up
Section titled “Set up”- Base domain (Domínio base): previews live at
pr-<número>.<domínio base>. Create a wildcard record*.<domínio base>in DNS pointing to the machine. - Limit (Limite): how many previews can exist at the same time (default 3, up to 20).
For this to work, automatic deploys must be turned on (the webhook tells the panel about pull requests).
